Quality of Life

Because highways and bridges are used so heavily and regularly by travelers, most people tend to overlook them and take them for granted. Most people rarely stop to think of the “what ifs”—and how their lives would change if their particular roads, highways or bridges were not there, were in disrepair, slow to be fixed, or closed altogether. With New Hampshire growing at such a rapid pace, particularly in the heavily populated southern part of our state, strains on the transportation system will only get worse without careful planning and adequate funding. To raise public awareness of transportation issues facing New Hampshire, a group of public and private transportation, construction, law enforcement, and business organizations recently launched A Safer Road to Tomorrow.
